This year marked 84 for this lady journalist/publisher and the 21st

birthday of Life Bites News, as well as the launch of CoastingwithBonnie.com, a fun travel publication for savvy senior travelers, with special attention to comfortible cruising around the world for curious journeymen and women.

Santa Barbara is an amaziang place where I feel so grateful to spend the later years of my life. A place filled with interesting

things to do, great history with wonderful museums, major events that draw visitors from around the world and so many nonprofit groups to volunteer, learn from and share new adventures with.

It was so much fun to just relax and share my special day with people who have been especially nice to me over the years, some work associates, some friendly neighbors, and most of all people who have in one way or another contributed to keeping my creative juices flowing and so involved and interested in life around me.

My Chez Carroll 'Blue Heaven' patio was an ideal spot to party with food curated by Cynthia Woo, a talented area caterer and friend. The entire afternoon was delicious, relaxed and real, and filled with lively conversation, which is the way I like everything always.

I am finding it hard to believe I made it to

eighty-four and I am still traveling, writing and enjoying life, but I am so grateful for the hand I've been dealt and will

enjoy playing it out as best I can.

Special thanks to an extraordinarilly talented friend Leslie Zemeckis who sent these exquisite flowers, who is busy with her upcoming Santa Barbara Literary Festivel on May 2-3, and her writers retreat in europe in September (see info in our BookBites section www.forwardretreats.com) but was truely missed. Thank you all for supporting this publication all these years, and for your kindness in keeping me inspired.
