Veggie Dips from the Oaks
Serves: 32

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups nonfat cottage cheese
  • 2 ounces cheddar cheese, low fat
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (The Oaks Italian Seasoning)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until smooth.
  2. Serve with a beautiful assortment of vegetables. Choose vegetables with as many different colors as possible for superior health.

Variations:

  • Blend first three ingredients and stir in some salsa to taste
  • Add your favorite mustard to the first three ingredients.
  • Add 1 tsp. curry powder and 1 Tbsp. orange juice of mashed mango or both, to the cottage cheese

Note:
Serving size is one tablespoon. Adjust the ingredients to suit your own taste. As long as the main ingredient is nonfat cottage cheese, the calories will remain low.
